Design process:

Dedicated to customer service, we begin the process with a complimentary consultation. During this meeting we work with you to decide if a custom or catalog invitation is best for you, answer any questions you may have and provide you with estimates. Once you have determined you would like to work with us on either a custom designed invitation or a catalog invitation we require the signed estimate and a 50% deposit before moving into the design process.

Custom Design (approx. 4-8 weeks total)

At this point we help you select the invitation details, etiquette and wording for your invitation ensemble.

We then create your invitation sample which includes the use of your selected papers, fonts, design elements, etc. (approx. 1-2 weeks).

Once we complete your sample you come in to review it and have the opportunity to make 1 round of revisions. You may purchase your proof for a minimal cost if you choose.

After your revisions are made we request your signed approval for your invitations to be printed.

At this point in the process we prepare your invitation ensemble to be printed, release it to the printer and assemble your invitations (approx. 3-4 weeks).

Catalog Invitations (approx. 2-3 weeks total)

At this point we help you select the invitation details, etiquette and wording for your invitation ensemble and ask for your approval to place the order.

Next we place your invitation order and request a proof, for catalog invitations the proof is a black and white pdf which we email you to approve (pdf proofs usually take approximately 3 days to come in).

Upon approval of your invitation ensemble proofs they will be printed and shipped to our office for you to pick up (approx. 1-2 weeks).

When should I order my wedding invitations?

Once you have a signed contract with your wedding ceremony and reception locations you can go ahead and place your wedding invitation order. Your invitations should be ordered about 4 months prior to your wedding date. This allows 4-6 weeks for your invitations to be ordered and delivered, as well as, plenty of time for you to address and stuff your invitations.

I can't find an invitation I like, can you design one for me?

Yes, PaperCuts Essentials specializes in custom designed invitation ensembles. If you have an idea, theme or just can't find an invitation, we can design one for you. During your complimentary consultation meeting we will discuss your ideas and brainstorm with you to create the invitation you are envisioning. For custom design orders you will receive a complete sample of your invitation and have the opportunity to revise the invitation to match your vision.

What is the average cost of your invitations?

Since we offer both custom designed invitations, as well as, album and catalog invitations we are able to work with most budgets. Our custom invitations start at about $2.50 each and our catalog invitations start at about $1 each. We would be happy to schedule a complimentary initial consultation for you to come in and look through our selection. During your consultation we will also provide you with estimates for the invitations you are interested in.

Is there anything I need to bring to the consultation meeting?

If you have any pictures of invitations you like or any color swatches you would like to match feel free to bring those with you, as well as, any ideas you may have. If you are just getting started and don't have the previously mentioned items we are happy to help you get started and show you the wide variety of invitations available.
